Rev.
Dan White
Pastor
Dan’s message was titled “Workers Together With God,” and his text was 1
Corinthians 3:5-9. We are God’s workers. We can knock on doors and tell people what
Jesus has done for us. We can plant the
seeds and water them, and God makes them grow.
Prevenient
grace is when God works on you when you are still in sin. God can do anything. He can use you. In verses 6 and 7, Paul says “I planted the
seeds, Apollos watered, and God made them grow.” We all have one purpose: we each have our
jobs that God has given us in His fields, but He is the one who makes it all
work to bring the harvest of souls.
We
in America have so much we tend to leave God out of our lives. On the Day of Pentecost, God sent the Holy
Spirit to help us live for Him. And He
keeps on sending the Holy Spirit to help us today. In verse 9, God wants us to join Him—we are
His co-workers. We can’t save people,
but we can lead them to Jesus, who can.
We’re workers together with God.
It’s important to work for the Lord, with the Lord, for there’ll come a
day when we can’t. We should treat
children like we’d like our children to be treated.
We
need to work with the Lord to bring others to Him. Ask him, “Help me to be all you want me to
be.” Work together with the Lord.
