Sermon Notes, March 19, 2017
There
was no sermon Sunday. Pastor Garry,
Beccy, and Tate were all sick with the flu and allergies, and he was unable to
find anyone to fill our pulpit. Our
worship leader, Drea Dyer, acted as the emcee, and the congregation worshipped
the Lord with singing, scripture, prayer and testimony. One of the scriptures read was John 4: 5-52,
the story of Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well in Samaria. He asked her for a drink, and He told her
about the Living Water. After He told
her "everything she'd ever done" and revealed Himself as the Messiah,
she went back to town and told everyone, and many believed. The Lord honored our worship with His
presence, and we left with the admonition to share the Living water we have received
with our neighbors and those we come in contact with, just as the woman at the
well did.
