KEEPING ON TO THE END

Sermon Notes, October 20, 2013
Rev. David Brookman

Rev. Dave Brookman, from Harrisonburg, filled our pulpit Sunday due to the illness of Pastor Jan Sinozich.  His subject was “Keeping On To the End,” and his text was Galatians 6:9-10—“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.”
He spoke words of encouragement, using instances from his own life where circumstances seemed impossible, but God answered prayer and opened doors that fulfilled His purposes and advanced His kingdom.  He encouraged us to “keep on doing good,” not listening to negative people, because their negativity rubs off.  As stated in Galatians 6:9, “at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  He encouraged us to keep doing good:  “Don’t give up.”
