Inclement Weather

When weather and road conditions dictate that services and ministry activities must be cancelled or postponed, the following material outlines these policies:

• Decisions to close (or not) are made by the pastor.  For Sunday services he will attempt to make a decision by 9 pm Saturday evening but no later than 6 am Sunday morning.

Important Safety Note:

• Weather conditions can vary substantially from one neighborhood to the next.  Even though services may be meeting or an event has not been cancelled, only you can decide whether conditions in your area will allow for safe travel.  Please use your own best judgement regarding travel conditions in your area.

Posting of Information:

• Closings or cancellations will be posted on Hope Community's web site (www.hopecwc.org.) and on the church phone 540-825-4607.

Before heading out to church or other activity please take one of the actions below to verify if our Inclement Weather Policy is in effect:

• Check your email after 7:00 am Sunday morning if you are on the church email distribution list (receive HOPE PowerLine messages)

• Call the church office 540-825-4607 after 7:00 am for an updated phone message.  You may have to call several times, du to the anticipated volume of calls due to non-internet members and guests.
